Built by an Upwork agency, to measure its own bidding

Upsight is built by Orhan G. Yalçın, founder of Vizio AI, an Upwork agency that ran on other bidding tools for two years and could not get the numbers it needed from them. Vizio AI's own Upwork accounts run on Upsight.

Who builds it

Upsight is built by Orhan G. Yalçın, founder of Vizio AI. Vizio AI is an Upwork agency (its agency profile on Upwork). For two years it ran its bidding on other tools and could not get the numbers it needed from them: which member's proposals were read, what a reply really cost in Connects once boosts and refunds were counted, and where each profile ranked in Upwork search. Upsight is the tool it built to answer those questions, and Vizio AI's own Upwork accounts run on it every day.

What it is, and what it is not

Upsight is an Upwork revenue engine for agencies and freelancers who bid at volume: a bidder that watches the job feed around the clock, scores every job against what the agency actually wins and drafts the proposal from the agency's own knowledge base, plus a measured ledger of search rank, per-member funnels and Connects spend.

• It is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Upwork.
• It is not the mobile-analytics company that once used the Upsight name, and it is not a browser extension.
• Sending is automated: proposals go out through Upwork's official API with the workspace's own key, or from the connected Upwork login where the key cannot file, and any campaign can instead require a person to approve every proposal, within daily caps per account. The setting is shown on the campaign.

The rules it measures by

• Dated, not guessed. Every competitor price on the comparison pages is read from the vendor's own page on a stated date. A figure the vendor does not publish is marked "Not published", never estimated.
• Sourced definitions. Every glossary entry cites the Upwork page it rests on and says when it was last checked.
• Honest denominators. A reply rate says what it was divided by. A number Upsight cannot measure is shown as unmeasured, not filled in.
• Where others are better, the page says so. Each comparison states what the other tool does better.
• No claim of zero risk. Nobody can say that honestly about Upwork accounts. Upsight engineers the risk down and says what remains.

Public data

Upsight also publishes Upwork Insights, a public directory and ranking of Upwork agencies built from their public profile numbers, with its methodology on the page.
