Job Success Score (JSS)
The Job Success Score (JSS) is the percentage Upwork computes daily from a freelancer's or agency's contract outcomes over 6-, 12- and 24-month windows, showing the best of the three on the profile.

Upwork's formula, "at a high level", is successful contract outcomes minus negative outcomes, divided by total outcomes. It is calculated every day for each of the three windows and the best score is displayed. A score appears once you have two or more contract outcomes within 24 months with two or more clients, and it disappears if that stops being true; contracts with no earnings and no feedback do not count. Private feedback is no longer requested from clients and no longer affects the score, and mid-contract feedback does not either.
What moves it, in Upwork's words: client feedback, the reasons past contracts ended, higher-value projects and long-term client relationships. Upwork reads 90% or above as strong and says a score below 79% "can make it harder to secure new projects". Top Rated and Top Rated Plus both require 90% or higher for an extended period.
For an agency the score is one number for the whole agency profile, while each member keeps their own; a new agency has no JSS at all, which is not the same as a low one.
How Upsight uses it. Upsight does not compute a JSS; it reads the one Upwork shows, per member on the roster and per profile on page one of a keyword's search results, so a drop in keyword rank can be set against the badges and scores of the profiles that moved above you. For the market view of the score, Rising Talent and the badges, Upwork Insights holds the definitions.
