Freelancer Plus
Freelancer Plus is Upwork's paid individual membership that adds 100 Connects a month in place of the free plan's 10, proposal and client insights that show competitor bids, full use of Uma, instant job alerts and a 0% service fee on Direct Contracts.
Updated
The help article lists the perks and not the price, which it shows under Change Plan; Upwork's own 2026 pricing breakdown lists Freelancer Plus at $19.99 a month. The Connects arrive at renewal, 100 a month after the first full month (90 to 100 in the first month, depending on the free Connects already received), and can take up to 12 hours to appear.
The insights are the part an agency bidder notices. Proposal insights, updated hourly, show the total of organic proposals on a job with how many the client opened, shortlisted or messaged, the average bid, the average of the bids the client messaged, the bids from Top Rated freelancers, and the applicants' average earnings and jobs. They are "only offered in the Freelancer Plus subscription" and are not included in Agency Plus. The rest: instant job alerts, full and unlimited Uma, keeping the profile active during a break, hiding total earnings, a custom profile URL, and 0% fee on Direct Contracts with clients you bring, which reverts to the standard 5% on cancelling.
Insights count organic proposals only. The range printed on the job post itself counts both organic proposals and replied invitations and leaves out withdrawn, declined and archived ones, which is why the two numbers differ.
How Upsight uses it. Upsight's proposals at 12 hours measure reads the job post's own activity count, so it needs no Plus membership, and the competitor bid range from a Plus account is a signal the bidder can be given but does not depend on.
