Enterprise client

An Enterprise client is a company on a paid Upwork Enterprise subscription, marked with an Enterprise logo on its job posts and search tiles, that may interview and exchange contact details privately before a contract and whose contracts typically carry a 10% freelancer service fee.

Updated

Upwork describes Enterprise clients as ranging "from small boutiques to big multinational companies (including over a third of the Fortune 500)" who "all pay a subscription to get extra services and benefits"; the subscription price is not published. You recognise one by the Enterprise logo on the job post or search tile. The main difference in a conversation: an Enterprise client may ask for or share contact details and interview outside Upwork before a contract exists, but only in a private channel such as Upwork Messages, never on the post or profile.

Their hiring is staffed. After posting, publicly or privately, the client's Upwork Professionals send a shortlist, the client vets with badges, Expert-Vetted status and calls, and sends an offer with a talent cloud, onboarding plan, purchase-order number and end date; an Enterprise Compliance classification review "typically takes 3 to 5 days". The freelancer service fee is "typically 10%", with the exact rate set by the client's Enterprise agreement, and if an existing client upgrades to Enterprise the active contract ends and a new one is created. Direct offers and invitations from Enterprise clients are the one case where an agency without Agency Plus can accept.

Any Hire is a separate Upwork product for paying talent found elsewhere and is not what the badge on a job post means.

How Upsight uses it. Upsight reads the Enterprise flag with the other client fields on every job and shows it to the scorer, so a campaign can prefer or require Enterprise posts, and the client identity lane keeps the company name with the lead.
